Judy fell in love with the High Country when she and her husband, Ted, bought their Banner Elk home in 1998. Her lively interest is tempered by a desire to help her customers meet their goals and find the right place for them. A good listener, she is calm, friendly, and loyal. Judy's experience, attention to detail, and flexibility go hand in hand with her sense of humor and the desire to keep things in perspective.

Her friendly, professional approach to real estate is enhanced by her experience in social work, nonprofit involvement, property management and community association management.

Judy is a member of the High Country Association of REALTORS®, the National Association of REALTORS®, High Country MLS and the Charlotte area MLS. She was affiliated with The Sterling Company which was acquired by Premier Sotheby's International Realty in 2015.

She is a proud part of a multigenerational real estate family and gets a chuckle to hear grandchildren ask to talk about something besides real estate at family functions - the same question asked by their parents and grandmother at their age.

Judy is a longtime Rotarian who recognizes its international reach along with its strong local involvement. She supports the local YMCA, Ensemble Stage, summer theatre at Lees-McCrae College, the Historic Banner Elk School, as well as Grandfather Mountain, Feeding Avery Families and the Avery County Habitat for Humanity.

She enjoys spending time with her friends and family including grown kids, grandkids and Toby, a little rescue dog of undetermined heritage. Reading, baking, strolling through the hills, and watching the sun rise and set are favorite pastimes.
